Stadium Nitro Shootout
Adelanto GP, Jan 16
By: Chris Blais – Open 1/8 Scale E-Buggy
This year for the Adelanto GP they decided to also put on an 1/8 Scale RC Race. After some coaxing from friends I decided to give the large outdoor track a try. I hadn’t raced my RC car outdoors in a couple of years and was excited for the challenge. I had my Electric 1/8 scale E-Buggy ready to go and hit the track for some Friday practice.
The track layout was awesome but the track started to deteriorate during the Friday practice session. I changed my car around a lot to get it hooked up and working better on the rough track. My Proline tires were keeping me dialed in all weekend.
Qualifying went pretty good and I was sitting 3rd for the Triple A-Mains. I would finish 3rd in the first A-Main, then I was leading the 2nd A-Main and made a mistake off the huge double in the corner and broke my car. In the 3rd A-main I would bring home a 2nd place finish and end up 3rd Overall for the night in Electric 1/8 Scale E-Buggy. I had a great time out there with my friends, family and team. Thanks to all my awesome sponsors: Coyote Hobbies Raceway, Venom, Proline, Airtronics, & Tekin
